Data di permanenza:
My husband and I brought our 6 year old here for a family holiday and didn’t want to do very much, but we knew we wanted to visit the Egadi islands. Our hotel showed us some of the options, one of these was this excursion and the other was an option of seeing them on a big tour boat with 60 people. We decided to spend a little extra and do this tour. We met Alessandro at the boat and there were 12 of us on the boat in total. He had bought a friend of his to translate everything he said all day for us and she spoke excellent English.
To say we had the best day ever is no understatement. It was a 49 minute ride to the islands on a lovely clean and well looked after boat boat. We stopped in many coves and he ensured they were all safe for our 6 year old to jump in. He was ever so considerate and clearly vastly knowledgable and well known about the area. At a cove at lunchtime, we jumped off and swam to look in a cave and when we arrived back on the boat, an amazing Italian Trapanse authentic lunch had been set up for all of us including so much choice and items he had grown from his own garden. It was stunning and there was so much choice for my 6 year old fussy eater and me; a vegetarian.
In the afternoon, we sped across to the other island where we stopped and had a granita and ice cream (all included in the price) and I saw this boat with 60 people that we nearly went on where people were herded on like cattle! I thanked my lucky stars that we had paid a little extra and had such a personal, relaxing, safe and enjoyable experience.
Having visited Italy and the islands many times over the last 30 years. I have to say that this trip was a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to do so. For a very small amount extra, you get so much more.
